Loctite 641 Retaining Compound, Series 641, is a low-strength liquid retaining adhesive supplied in a 10 mL bottle (yellow). It provides controlled retention for cylindrical metal parts that require disassembly. Typical properties: fixture time ~20 minutes, full cure ~24 hours, shear strength listed at 1700 psi (product database) and listed in marketplace copy as moderate strength; maximum operating temperature up to 300 °F, minimum operating temperature -65 °F. Package weight and dimensions are small (see specifications). Ideal for metal assemblies with cylindrical tolerances where controlled retention and later disassembly are required.
